We’ve reached a crossroads in our city. We have elected officials and candidates advocating for the defunding of our police in a time that we need our first responders to be fully funded and resourced.

We cannot allow our Police Department to be defunded.

We have seen from our neighbors across the lake, defunding and demonizing our police has led to a decrease in morale and an exodus of police officers. It has now been reported that 911 emergency response times have increased to over an HOUR for priority two calls and priority one calls have increased from an average of 9 minutes to 12 minutes.

Minutes can be the difference between life and death for these calls and we cannot afford for that to happen in Bellevue.

Jared’s opponent has made it clear that her goals are to defund our police. Each time she has been in front of Bellevue City Council to voice her opinion, she has bashed our police department and called for their defunding.

We need to INCREASE funding for our law enforcement officers and keep Bellevue residents and visitors safe from the violent crime taking place just across the lake.
