BELLEVUE, WA – “I’m incredibly honored to earn the trust of Bellevue voters once again,” said Nieuwenhuis. “This campaign has always been about Bellevue’s future — ensuring our city remains safe, inclusive, vibrant, and ready for the challenges ahead. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together, from strengthening public safety to supporting small businesses and expanding housing options. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believed in that vision and helped make this win possible.”
His campaign’s message has clearly resonated with voters across Bellevue – earning him support from a broad coalition of civic leaders, community members, and respected organizations.
The campaign launched at the start of the year with key early endorsements from the Bellevue Police Officers Guild, Bellevue Firefighters IAFF Local 1604, Eastside Business Alliance, the Rental Housing Association of Washington, and many more.
As the campaign progressed, that support continued to grow – uniting labor organizations, business leaders, cultural groups, housing advocates, and neighborhood voices — creating a diverse coalition of support for the results-driven leadership and vision that Councilmember Nieuwenhuis brings to city leadership.
“I’m thankful for every neighbor, volunteer, donor, and supporter who stood with me in this campaign,” Nieuwenhuis added. “I love this city, and I’m excited to get back to work on behalf of those who call Bellevue home.”
